Adults will progress at their own pace without the pressure of completing levels within the typical lesson structure and time frame.
Core Skills at a Glance:
This program is designed to establish comfort and confidence in the water. Participants will begin with the basic principles of movement and safety in and around water, basic water skills including submersion, floating, gliding and kicking. Instructors will also present techniques for the beginner stroke standards. Participants will develop swim strokes, improve endurance and work in the deep end of the pool. Adults will be encouraged to improve the capability to swim further distances using advanced strokes. Swimming endurance is built with an emphasis on increasing fitness and speed.
