The YMCA Family Resource Centre is part of the first phase of the Boyle Renaissance Redevelopment, a multi-phase, far-reaching community redevelopment situated in the area between 95 and 96 Streets and extending north from 103A Avenue to the LRT tracks.  Boyle Renaissance Redevelopment Phase 1 is a made-in-community solution that provides a range of services and programs that include child care, family services, housing, community, social, recreation and park space. Within Phase 1, The YMCA of Northern Alberta is partnered with the Boyle Street Community League, the City of Edmonton and Capital Region Housing Corporation.

The Melcor YMCA Village, located on the east side of the plaza, is an affordable housing complex.  The YMCA Family Resource Centre, Shirley Stollery YMCA Child Care Centre and the Boyle Street Community Centre are located on the west side of the plaza.  Boyle Street Park is nestled in between the two buildings.
