The Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) program is a unique volunteer opportunity for youth in grades 7 to 12 to develop the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to become a YMCA camp counsellor and leader for life!
Participants gain valuable experince though the CIT interview process, training and two-week placement at a YMCA Day Camp.
CIT is offered at YMCA Health, Fitness & Aquatics Centres in the Edmonton Region and Wood Buffalo, and at the Northside Community Centre in Red Deer.
Note: CIT program is only available during the summer school break.
- Register now for the CIT application course (CIT Level 1). All applicants will be contacted for an interview.
- Successfull candidates will then register for the CIT program and be required to complete a police security clearance and vulnerable persons check.
