The Rotary Club of Edmonton is celebrating its centennial with a $60,000 gift to the YMCA Welcome Village Family Resource Centre.

Given the Club’s 100 years of community service, it was no surprise they chose to celebrate by reaching out to the community to find a far-reaching project or program that they could proudly support. YMCA of Northern Alberta, which is also on the heels of celebrating 100 years of serving the Edmonton community, was pleased to be a recipient. The Rotary Club of Edmonton’s gift will help ensure that up to 1,000 vulnerable children, youth and families in our community have access to the low-fee and/or no-fee programming that supports positive personal and family development, healthy relationships and community connection through nutrition coaching and low-cost healthy meal options, programming with a housing support worker, and access to wraparound family and childhood programs and services that help a family turn a house into a safe and loving home.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Edmonton and your members for their leadership in building community and congratulations on this significant milestone in your club’s history.
