    On Thursday October 20, 2016 we welcomed over 100 participants and guests to our 3rd Annual Collective Kitchen Gala. The Gala is an opportunity for participants to invite important people in their lives to experience the YMCA.


  • 3rd Annual YEG Youth Connect

    On September 15, 2016 the YMCA, along with 10 other youth serving agencies in Edmonton planned and executed the 3rd Annual YEG Youth Connect event hosted at the Boyle Street Plaza/ YMCA Welcome Village.

    Each year the YMCA recognizes outstanding achievements by volunteers or employees who show a dedication to improving their community and helping others. The scholarships support these individuals to continue the amazing work they do.

  • YMCA of Northern Alberta supports Wood Buffalo wildfire recovery efforts

    The YMCA of Northern Alberta has received a community grant through the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Wildfires 2016 Community Organization Partnership Program. This grant will support the YMCA in our continued efforts to deliver quality programs and services to the residents of Wood Buffalo in their recovery.

    A summer camp experience is a normal occurrence for many children, but those suffering from serious illness or injury, or their siblings, often miss out on this opportunity. This year the YMCA of Northern Alberta and Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Alberta are partnering together to provide children with the chance to experience YMCA Summer Camps.
