Welcome back to the Y! 

We’ve taken the time during our closure to create a better Y experience for you when you return. To make it easier for you to restart and manage your YMCA membership, we have switched membership and registration systems to one that is more user-friendly!

If you are already a YMCA member, please check your email for a message containing a link to request access to your new online account. Once you have received your link to log in, click here for instructions on how to activate your account.

If you have not received an email, please click here to request access to your account.

Book your timeslot

You can book your time at the Y up to 7 days in advance. If you are a YMCA member in Edmonton, you can book your timeslot for lane swim or aqua jogging, open gym or group fitness. If you are a participant at the Northside Community Centre, you can book and pay for your group fitness session or register for summer day camps.

Restart your membership

Once you restart your membership, you’ll receive the first two weeks free of charge! You’re not obligated to restart your membership right now — you can wait until your centre of choice is open, if that’s what you’d prefer. In the meantime, all of our members are welcome to join us at the William Lutsky Family YMCA.

Financial Assistance

If you previously used financial assistance to access the YMCA, you will need to reapply. This can be done easily online through our new system, where you upload your supporting documentation right in the portal. You can also apply in person once our facilities reopen.

Plus Memberships

Plus membership amenities are not available at this time. If you are a Plus member, you can choose from the following options when restarting your membership:

  • Help the YMCA support those who cannot afford a Y membership by selecting the Plus membership option when restarting your membership to maintain your Plus membership fee. The difference in cost between the General membership you’ll be receiving and your Plus membership fee will be your donation to the Y, and you will receive a tax receipt.


  • Select the General membership option when restarting your membership, and only pay the general membership fee until Plus services are restored.
