Being a teen isn't always easy! The YMCA offers teen nights, drop-in gatherings and other fun ways to meet other teens and make new friends.
Each week you will have a theme to explore, social time, healthysnack and an exciting physical activity. You will explore topics like healthy choices, transition, life skills and positive peer relationships. Each night there will be time to hang out with friends and do a physical activity likezumba, swimming, self-defence, yoga andso much more!
A weekly hangout full of sports, games, team challenges, special guests and more! To encourage leadership development, Just the Guys participants will be encouraged to assist in the development of their own programs and special events.
YMCA Teen Night provides an opportunity for youth aged 13–18 to participate in various activities in all centre areas. Activities may include recreational sports, swimming, conditioning, and fitness or dance classes. Appropriate workout attire and footwear required. Meet friends, get fit! Must bring photo ID to register.
Youth Centre YMCA Youth Centre is a great place for youth aged 8 to 17 to drop in and relax, play games, read and connect with friends. Dedicated Youth Centres are located in the Northside Community Centre in Red Deer and the Eagle Ridge Community Centre in Wood Buffalo. Our drop-in zone features a wide variety of gaming systems, as well as Air Hockey, Foosball, Ping Pong, a large assortment of board and strategy games, arts and DIY activities, music instruments, books, magazines, and more!
