The Assistant Volunteer Swim Instructor assists the Swim Instructor in facilitating swim lessons. The Assistant Swim Instructor will carefully monitor all class participants to enforce safe practices, devote equal time to all participants, and refer questions from parents of participants to instructors. The Assistant Swim Instructor will also ensure that each child is safely returned to his/her parent at the end of each lesson. This program will turn you into a swim instructor with the combination of  our YMCA swim instructor course for ages 16+. Volunteer with us today and work towards become a staff lifeguard/swim instructor (must turn 16 years old to become a staff with completed courses).

Minimum 12+yrs and completion of volunteer documentation with criminal record check. Work on completing bronze medallion, bronze cross, standard first aid, YMCA swim instructor course, national lifeguard course.
