The Bill Rees YMCA has been in operation since 1987 and is home to a number of YMCA Community and Housing Initiatives programs focused on serving vulnerable children, youth, adults and families. We are there for every individual and family in the community, supporting them through difficult times with a wide range of services.
Our professional and qualified staff are dedicated to supporting and encouraging participants to experience new opportunities, overcome barriers and build positive relationships needed to be successful in life. We offer programs and services in the areas of personal development, youth outreach, educational support, employment, and housing in order to foster strong kids, healthy families and thriving communities. Many of the programs and services offered through the Bill Rees YMCA take place out in the community (in homes, neighbourhoods, schools and other community agencies) in order to reduce as many barriers to participation as possible. The Bill Rees YMCA relies on contracts and grants, as well as the generosity of donors, to sustain the operation of the programs and services we provide to the community.
