Mental Health Supports

We know that the news these days might be unsettling, and the uncertainty about our public health may be causing anxiety. During this time, we encourage you to be kind to yourself. To practice self-care in a way that's most meaningful to you, and to remember that even while self-isolation and social distancing strategies are necessary, it's important to stay connected with one another. Send a message or make a phone call to those you think might be feeling anxious, or if you are feeling alone. We are at our best when we support one another.

If you are in need of assistance, call 2-1-1 (AB only) or the Mental Health Help Line at 1-877-303-2642. For great resources and tips, please visit the Canadian Mental Health Association's website. The CDC has some information on how to cope with the COVID-19 crisis, which you might find helpful. Additional resouces can be found below.

Text for Hope

Alberta Health Services has launched a new program called Text For Hope where Albertans can subscribe to the free text-based program and receive text messages that will help ease stress and provide hope in uncertain times. Albertans can text “COVID19Hope” to 393939 to subscribe.
