At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We work side-by-side with our neighbours and donors to make sure that everyone can learn, grow and thrive.
We value what everyone brings to the table. We work to ensure that all segments of our communities are welcome and have equal opportunities to become connected to other participants, members, staff and volunteers. We make it a priority to educate and empower staff and volunteers to think, act and communicate with a diverse, inclusive and global approach to serving all.
Y MissionYMCA of Northern Alberta creates life-enhancing opportunities for the growth and development of all people in spirit, mind and body.
Y VisionStrong kids, healthy families, thriving communities.

The YMCA of Northern Alberta acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of the Cree (including Upstream People, Woods), Blackfoot, Métis, Nakoda, Tsuu T'ina, Dene, and Dane-zaa (Beaver) peoples. Treaties 6, 7 and 8 territories continue to be an important gathering place for many First Nation peoples. We also recognize their contributions to building healthy communities and thank them for their stewardship of the land.
YMCAs in Canada are committed to fostering a sense of belonging for all, a value reflected in our Statement of Reconcilation.
