Event Rental Spaces
New rental spaces within the Family Resource Centre (9538 103A Ave) are available for concerts to conferences, receptions to rec leagues, crafts to celebrations, and trade shows to theatre nights!
Located within the Boyle Street Plaza at 9538-103 A Avenue and directly across from the Melcor YMCA Village. The YMCA Family Resource Centre provides meaningful programming that responds to the needs of all members of the community. Some of the programs offered are listed below:
- Collective Kitchen: Collective Kitchen offers participants the opportunity to prepare affordable healthy meals for themselves and their families at a low cost and provides the opportunity to learn basic nutrition, food purchase, preparation and safe food handling skills and socialize as they prepare their food.
- Specialty Kitchen: Join us for one or more of our exciting series of Specialty Kitchens! Each course will feature instruction on the topic of the day and then a chance to put your new skills into practice while making a meal. Plus, you will get to take home a sample of what you create!
- Positive Discipline: Positive Discipline is a free 8-week parenting program offered 2-3 times per year, based on expressed interest and available funding. The program, taught by certified instructors, is a parenting program designed to teach important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults. The program is based on the best-selling Positive Discipline parenting books by Dr. Jane Nelsen. Free child minding is offered to parents attending the session as well as a light meal.
