YMCA Child and family development programs are available in the Edmonton Region, Grande Prairie and Wood Buffalo region.

Child and Family Development

  • YMCA Family Connect: Family Ties (Edmonton & Grande Prairie)

    Family Ties is an early intervention program that provides support to familes with with children aged seven to 17. Parents are supported to create a nurturing and safe family environment, build resiliency within themselves and their children, build new social connections, and learn about positive parenting and child development.

  • YMCA Family Connect: Home Visitation (Wood Buffalo)

    The early years of a child’s life is a critical developmental period. Home visitation is an intervention program that helps soon-to-be or new parents create a foundation for future success.

  • Positive Discipline (Edmonton)

    Positive Discipline is an eight-week workshop that provides a positive foundation for parents that can be applied in a wide range of situations, not just those that occur during challenging times.
