Designed as an out-of-school intervention, Alternative Suspension establishes bonds of trust and creates a support network of groups of students that assists in addressing suspension and/or temporary expulsion issues while supporting a consistent and strong academic focus.
Youth aged 9 to 15 are welcome to drop in and relax, play games and connect with friends at the YMCA Youth Centre located at the Northside Community Centre in Red Deer and Eagle Ridge Community Centre in Wood Buffalo.
