As an entirely independent charity building healthy communities through Fitness, Aquatics and Swim Lessons, Summer Camps, Community Initiatives, Housing Supports, Child Care, and Youth Supports, the YMCA of Northern Alberta has a wide range of programs to help develop the potential in everyone. We make no profits from any of our services or programs. Find one that's right for you:
Opening in April 2017, YMCA Beaverbrook Child Care has space for Early Years (12 months to 5 years) and School Age (kindergarten to Grade 6).
Enoch First Nation Chief and Council, educators, administrators, and most importantly the youth, were beside themselves with excitement on September 30th, 2016, to celebrate the ribbon cutting that officially opened their newly constructed bike park – largely inspired by marathon cyclist and advocator, Don Patterson.
Our yearly celebration was well attended by residence and a special visit from Santa. Many board members and staff volunteered, serving up a bountiful turkey dinner with all the trimmings and some fabulous desserts.
YMCA of Northern Alberta gives a big shout out to Program Supervisor, Amy Wilkinson, for being one of the 12 winners of First Book Canada’s Member Engagement Campaign!!
Castle Downs Family YMCA has received a generous gift of materials and labour from Achieve Concrete and Vivid Homes. This in-kind donation will go towards supporting our facility upgrade through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program, an initiative of the Government of Canada that is delivered by Western Economic Diversification Canada.
Dust off your leg warmers and tease up your hair - we're going to party like it's 1980!
Spend the afternoon with your kids in a fun and safe environment, away from admission fees and add-ons. At our free event, kids can join in on group sports, participate in crafts and activities, and browse the many vendors that are coming out to support healthy, active kids in the community.
Putt, Drive or Duff for a great cause!
The YMCA Strong Kids Campaign is the annual campaign to raise funds and awareness of community needs. The campaign funds are used to assist people in gaining access to YMCA programs and services to help improve and enhance their lives. Through our Annual Golf Classic and silent auctions, we are able to send children to day camps, help families to participate in YMCA programs and become fitness members.
