Grande Prairie YMCA Child Care Fees
YMCA Child Care rates are transitioning to a cost-per-day structure. Please note, fees are billed monthly or semi-monthly, based on the days of care each month.
All infant care locations in the Grande Prairie Region
- Infant Care (0–18 months): $51.39* per day
*Monthly fees for children registered for six or more days per month at all infant care locations will be lowered thanks to the Government of Alberta’s Affordability Grant. Full details on this grant can be found below.
All toddler care locations in the Grande Prairie Region
- Toddler Care (19–35 months): $51.39* per day
*Monthly fees for children registered for six or more days per month at all toddler care locations will be lowered thanks to the Government of Alberta’s Affordability Grant. Full details on this grant can be found below.
All preschool care locations in the Grande Prairie Region
- Preschool Care (3–6 years): $48.50* per day
*Monthly fees for children registered for six or more days per month at all toddler care locations will be lowered thanks to the Government of Alberta’s Affordability Grant. Full details on this grant can be found below.
**Children attending preschool care at these locations must be attending pre-kindergarten at the school served.
All Kindercare locations in the Grande Prairie Region

Kindercare (attending kindergarten and YMCA Before & After School Care during regular school hours): $37.50* per day
*Monthly fees for children registered for six or more days per month at all Kindercare locations will be lowered thanks to the Government of Alberta’s Affordability Grant. Full details on this grant can be found below.
All Before and After School Care locations in the Grande Prairie Region
- School year: $33.00 per day ($33.50 per day, effective September 1, 2022)
- Full-day: $37.50 per day
Although our rates are shown daily, monthly fees will be calculated on the number of operational days each month, as seen in the table below. Please note, fees may vary from month to month. If applicable, subsidy and affordability grant funding will be applied to monthly fees.

The YMCA accepts the Government of Alberta Child Care Subsidy to offset the cost of child care for eligible families. To learn more about the Government of Alberta's subsidy program and apply, please visit alberta.ca/child-care-subsidy.
Please note, subsidy is not included in the child care rates above as it varies by family. Subsidy will be applied to monthly fees, where applicable.
The Government of Alberta’s Affordability Grant benefits families with children registered for six or more days per month at all Early Learning Child Care and Kindercare locations as monthly fees will be reduced by the following:
